Best Time to Smoke Weed

While it is true that every time is 420 time, there are some times and places where smoking weed just feels better. The high might feel a little stronger or last a little longer than usual, and that’s exactly what today’s article is all about. We’re going to talk about the best times of the day to get high, as well as some activities that can compliment your high.

Now I do want to warn you, these are just going to be my opinions on the best time to get high, I don’t have any science mumbo jumbo or facts to back up my reasoning, just a plethora of smoking experience ;).

Wake & Bake

This one isn’t a surprise, I’m sure you saw it coming a mile away, but I had to include it. A wake & bake, or smoking in the morning right after you wake up, is one of the all time best times to smoke. It’s going to put you in a great mood for the day, throw on some of your favorite music and just sit and enjoy life. A wake and bake can also be a great cure for a bad hangover or morning nausea as well. And if you’re someone who smokes multiple times a day such as myself, you know that the wake and bake is always the strongest high of the day!

Some people aren’t fans of the wake and bake, they say it makes the rest of their day unproductive. I see where they’re coming from with this, and all I can say is that some can pull it off and some can’t. My advice for those of you who feel they can’t pull off the wake and bake without being unproductive; You can’t just smoke and then sit around, or worst of all, go back to bed. If you want to have a productive day after a wake and bake, you’re going to have to get yourself moving. Try going for a light jog, or doing some exercises if you feel groggy after smoking in the morning.

If you haven’t given the wake and bake a chance yet, I definitely recommend you try it! It will be a real morning booster and will get you ready for the day ahead!

Before/After the Gym

I know lifting weights and exercising is probably not something you typically think about when you’re getting stoned, but it’s actually a fun and effective way to work out. I’m not talking about facing a backwood or getting so stoned you can barely move, but whatever you need to be high and still function. Being high while you workout will take away some of the boredom that can come with working out. You might find your workouts become longer if you smoke before, I know mine are! And your body is going to feel great during the workout as well, and if you throw some music on it’s going to sound even better when you’re high!

If you don’t want to smoke before a workout, consider lighting up afterwards instead. The work is already done, so reward yourself! If you had any aches and pains during the workout, those are going to melt right away and you can just kick back with a meal on the couch! This is one of my absolute favorite things to do, even though if I’m being honest I prefer to smoke both before and after a workout ;)!!!

Before A Shower/Swim

Taking a shower/swimming can be one of the most soothing things to do while stoned. Your body is going to feel great, and the water is going to feel amazing on your skin whether it’s the shower or the pool. Sometimes I’ll find myself taking 30-40 minute showers because the water feels too good to get out! So make sure you’re not sharing a shower with someone who need to use it right after you!

And if you’re in the pool, consider laying on one of those pool floaties on the water. It’s going to be an amazingly relaxing experience, so much so it’ll have you wanting to get stoned before every trip to the pool!

Before A Meal

This is a classic and another no-brainer. Everybody knows that getting high gives you the munchies, so why not take advantage of this and smoke before your favorite meals of the day? It’s going to make the food taste SOOOOO much better, and not only that you’ll probably be able to eat a lot more of it too, YUMM.

If smoking before a meal doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, maybe you’re trying to cut back on what you eat, don’t want to be stoned with your family, etc. Then consider lighting up and taking a few puffs after a meal. It’s great for digesting food and might take away some of that after meal food coma!

And if you really want to spice things up and combine eating and cannabis into one, consider cooking your meal with cannabis. There are so many creative ways to use cannabis to cook, and many great recipes can be found right on the web. Be weary though, many of you already know that edibles can be very powerful when taken in too large of quantities, but for those that don’t, research your dosage, tread lightly and good luck!!!!

After Work

We’ve all heard of and think it’s normal for a glass of wine or a beer after a hard day’s work, but what about sparking up a joint? Maybe not quite as normal for some people, but for us stoners it’s something in the back of our mind we look forward to all day! Being able to get that first puff in and let go of the stresses from the day can be a great feeling. And if you are someone who likes to have a few beers or glasses of wine after work, try taking a few puffs one day instead to switch it up, see how you like it!

Getting high after work is going to put you in a good mood for whatever you have going on for the rest of the night, and like I mentioned earlier, it’s going to be a great precursor to dinner!!

Bedtime Bowls

Right before going to bed is one of the absolute best times to get high, and is definitely a favorite amongst stoners worldwide. Getting high before bed is going to help you wind down and just float off into a peaceful sleep. For those of you suffer from insomnia or a similar inability to fall asleep/stay asleep, smoking weed before bed could be a lifesaver! Make sure you choose the right strain to smoke before bed though!! I like to smoke indica strains before bed, they make my body feel relaxed and soothed, many others feel the same way, however I encourage you to experiment and figure out what works for you!

And something I’ve also gotten asked about sever times before is what my dreams are like when I smoke before bed. Personally, I’m just not someone who remembers my dreams when I wake up very often. Every once in a blue moon I’ll remember a dream I had, but that’s about it, so I’m not really sure if weed impacts my dreams at all! I’ve heard some friends say that smoking before bed gave them really crazy and awesome dreams, so I guess that’s always a possibility!

Middle Of The Night?

Now stay with me here, I know what you might be thinking. “The middle of the night??? Damn!!! Joey how big of a stoner are you?” But it’s not like that, well, usually at least ;). Now when I say smoke in the middle of the night I’m not saying you should set an alarm just so you can light up at 3 in the morning, that would be crazy, but there are actually times when smoking in the middle of the night is effective.

Like I mentioned in the previous section, there are a lot of people that have trouble not only falling asleep, but staying asleep. And while some have it worse than others, we’ve all had those sleepless nights, tossing and turning, struggling to fall asleep. It’s one of the most frustrating things ever when you just want a good nights sleep, and smoking weed can be really effective at helping with this. It’s going to calm you down and relax you, and withing 30 minutes you’ll most likely be sleep. I don’t do this very often, I’m blessed with being able to sleep like a rock for 8 hours a night on most nights, but when I have smoked in the middle of the night when I couldn’t fall asleep, it’s worked every time!
